RoboGym is Back!

Now that school is back in session, so is RoboGym Robotics! Although our preseason has just begun, our team is already working hard to prepare for the events quickly coming our way. On Saturday, October 6, RoboGym is competing in the Half Hollow Hills robotics competition, in which teams from all over Long Island compete using last year’s robots. This will provide our new members with insight on what the robotics competitions to come will be like, and will give them the opportunity to drive the robot and work in the pit (the area robotics teams prepare their robots for matches) in between matches. On Sunday, Octoboer 7, RoboGym will participate in the Sea Cliff Minimart, where our team will set up an information booth and bake sale. To finish off RoboGym's hectic week , we will drive our robot at North Shore High School's homecoming game on October 13, as well as set up an information booth for parents and students interested in robotics to learn about the team. As of right now, RoboGym is shaping up last year's robot to make it competition ready, and team members are training our newest members so that they will be prepared to drive the robot at Half Hollow Hills. All are welcome to support RoboGym at Half Hollow Hills, Minimart, and homecoming, whether that be to see what a robotics competition is like, to see our robot in action, or just to speak with team members.
